Usage¶
This fixture simulates two things at once:
- On the battery pack side, a fully assembled cell pack is simulated.
- On the outward-facing side, a copter body is simulated.
This allows us to test several BMS features in a realistic environment.
Requirements¶
The BMS Test Fixture PCB is connected to the BMS. This means:
- load resistance of 28Ω between VPACK- and VPACK+
- load capacitance of 6.6 mF between VPACK- and VPACK+
- 18 kΩ key resistor, coding battery key slot 7
- 5V voltage regulator connected to VPACK, creating VBUS when the pack is engaged
- three 10kΩ resistors connected to temperature sensors T1, T2 and T3, simulating 25 °C
- active cell voltage simulation circuit connected to J3, supporting cell voltage measurements and balancing
