Usage¶
With the BMS completely disconnected from any load, it is always safe to enable the BMS' power output. This enables us to enable and measure the BMS' VPACK voltage, observe the precharge sequence of the hot swap controller, test and trigger short circuit protection, and perform other tests regarding the power stage.
This fixture does not require any additional hardware, only the absence of hardware. A fully assembled battery pack also fulfills this fixture's requirements.
Requirements¶
- The VPACK- and VPACK+ screw terminals must be open, no wires may be connected.
- The external-facing signal connector J1 must be open
